Apify Actor
The Reddit scraper also runs as an actor on Apify — the same data, delivered through Apify's scheduling, dataset storage, and webhooks instead of a direct API call.
When to use the actor instead of the API
If you already run infrastructure on Apify — recurring schedules, dataset exports, webhook-driven pipelines — running the actor there means one less system to operate. If you're calling from your own backend or an AI agent, the REST API is the more direct path.
Note
Currently the Apify actor covers Reddit only. Twitter/X, App Store, and YouTube are available via the REST API and MCP server.
